I was born on May 14, 1951 in Orange, California.
My family moved to Tulsa and there I stayed except for the wonderful seven
years I lived in Florida. I didn't come out until I was about 20 years old
and actually wandered into a gay bar (Friends Lounge @ 3rd & Utica) by accident. I realized then that there were more than just the three of us. I began spending so much time there
I decided I needed to own a gay club of my own. I ran across a partner
(which was a mistake) and we hand-built and opened Queen of Hearts, then at
911 S. Main in downtown Tulsa about 1975. It was an extremely beautiful art deco disco,
and quite successful.....until my partner ruined it with drugs and lies.
After short bouts with Tim's Anything Goes Club and The New Plantation Club,
the next club which was solely mine was the famous Tim's Playroom Club which was a great success for about seven years. That was before selective and strict over-enforcement of new DUI laws, AIDS and Liquor by the Drink legislation...which, as Government usually does, screwed everything up. Aside from the normal police harassment, ignorance, prejudice and bigotry,
things were really rockin' then. There were about 13 gay clubs in Tulsa at that
time and all of them did well. I worked in, managed or owned about 8 different
clubs over time and had a ball. With a lot of help from a lot of members of the community we were able to enhance national recognition of Gay Tulsa with Gay Softball and
national advertising. (See also Special Feature)
I met Tye and discovered that love at first sight was indeed possible. I was lucky enough to have experienced the most complete feeling I have ever known with Tye. Losing him and eventually getting over it was possible too as I learned that love could also develop and not 'just happen'. I shared the next 17 years (Such a sheltered life!) with Todd.
Anyway, as it were, Big Brother began cutting down on our fun so we moved
to Florida and I sold RV's while Todd worked for Premier Cruise Lines. Much more
fun, but, moved back to Tulsa in about 1993 because night clubs were in my blood, bought a house and opened Bad Boyz Club which was fun, but not a huge success as the city seemed to have changed a lot. No
longer a real active night life, strict enforcement of anti-fun laws and the
Tulsa Gays seemed to have become even more clickish than before! Todd and I split and I relocated to Oklahoma City.
So, now I've learned how to use a computer
and fell in love with it. I spend entirely too much time on it and love every
minute. I like to bowl, play darts, party with friends and I've always been crazy
about most kinds of music. I love lake activities like boating, skiing, camping
etc. I also love to cook, drink and party in moderation. (yeah right!)
I used to have a motor home and love to travel. I've studied Web Page Design and the Internet, (although it changes faster than I do;-) offer low-cost web page design and hosting.
I will be changing and adding to this as I think about it so please check back
occasionally. I'm always searching for new friends. You can never have enough friends.
Don't give up searching for that special someone! It doesn't always come
wrapped in the package you expect!

It seems that most of my dearest friends have all died young and I would like to dedicate this frivolous creation to three of the warmest, most fun and wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure to know and be friends with....and which I will remember forever. Bobby Ballard (center), Marvin Winterscheid and Larry Braker.
